PAcquiao-Cotto match almost done

The match-up of Filipino champ Manny Pacquiao and Puerto Rican idol Miguel Cotto is almost cutting in to an understanding, with people from Team Pacquiao and the camp of Cotto gradually toning down their standards on their once firm points about weight and the money.

Freddie Roach, the coach of the pesky Filipino icon who initially wanted the call the match at 143 lbs, has swayed to promoter Bob Arum’s match suggestion at 145 lbs. The same weight the people from the camp of the puerto rican contingent the match to proceed.

People from Team Pacquiao has been hesitant to call it a match at the weight set by the people from Cotto’s side but Roach is confident enough about Pacman’s prowess that he said he cares less about the issues considering the fight. In the end, Pacquiao will make the final decision. Roach also formerly suggested that Pacquiao get the fatter purse, claiming 70 percent of the total match revenue, leavng only 30 percent for the Puerto Rican icon’s wallet.

People from Team Pacquiao is anticipating of a greater revenue— gretaer than what they got from the Pacquiao-Hatton match which ended to be a fiasco for the British Swetheart. Pacquiao’s ilk is letting down their demands in wieght but they sure have no plans of letting down their demands in terms of income, so the team will not release any final decision until matters regarding the purse has been ironed out.

Cotto’s camp has not been surprised about the movements from Pacman’s camp, but they reiterated that wieght is only one of the many issues being discussed by both parties.

Organizers has been hinting Pacquiao that Cotto will go for a fist session even with a purse division lower than 60-40, but whatever the division outcome is, Pacman’s big pockets will sure be almost full by the time the match gets done. Win or lose, he gets the money.

The purse could be more than enough to fuel his war machine for the upcoming elections—that’s if hes ready to improve his o wins-1 lose political record to 0 wins-2 loses this time.
